EDET 650 - Internship Hello All, My name is Barbara Solomon. I am a candidate for a Masters in Educational Technology from the University of South Carolina, Columbia and am currently employed by School District 5 of Lexington and Richland Counties.
Hired in May of 2014, I serve as the Information Systems Data Manager at School District 5. I am enjoying the challenges of this new position! Previously I worked for the SC State Department of Education and it is quite different to work with student data at the District level. I love implementing new technologies and love to meet the individuals that utilize administrative and instructional technology on a daily basis.
I have three children; one a graduate and another a current student at USC- Columbia. My youngest child is a HS Junior - overwhelmed with SAT / ACT tests, AP courses and college planning. I love to visit the mountains of NC, to read and hike whenever time permits.
